Project Description
The apartments at 9th and Broadway is a development by BRIDGE Housing, a group dedicated to creating affordable housing in California, which has provided over 250 affordable housing units to the downtown San Diego area. The studio and one-bedroom apartments have modern amenities and expansive common areas including a 15th-floor terrace with stunning views of the San Diego Bay. Also featured are a dog park, three shared barbecue areas complete with an outdoor kitchen, and a resident garden, adding valuable, usable outdoor space to the building’s catalog.
These shared spaces were constructed using Bison Ribbed Ipê Wood Tiles and concrete pavers supported by Bison ScrewJack Pedestals ensuring not only an attractive, modern space for entertaining, but also a perfect solution for turning the sloping rooftop into a beautiful, functional outdoor area for recreation and relaxation.
The 2’ x 4’ ribbed ipê deck tiles are a larger format than the more common 2’ x 2’ deck tiles emphasizing the modern aesthetics of the courtyard. Bison adjustable ScrewJack Pedestals support up to 1250 lbs per pedestal, making them an ideal choice for a variety of different surface materials. Stylish décor and an eco-roof with drought-tolerant plants complete this LEED Silver Certified residential high-rise.
