Project Description
The Grand Opening of this Performing Arts Center in October 2009 marked the long-anticipated completion of the Dallas Arts District. The Center, which encompasses 10-acres within the Dallas Arts District includes the Winspear Opera House, Wyly Theater, and Sammons Park. The Center’s mission is to provide a public gathering space that fosters creativity.
At the heart of the complex is the Center’s courtyard featuring a shallow reflective pool where families can gather to frolic. The pool showcases stone pavers emblazoned with the names of the donors that made the Center possible and are supported by Bison Versadjust Pedestals. The Versadjust Pedestals can support 1250 pounds, are adjustable to account for differences in height and slope, and the open joint pedestal system allows the water to recirculate and remain at a consistent level. The Center acts as a community hub with world-class performances and local outdoor music – perfect for family outings!
