Through the end of October, residents of Minneapolis will have a new way to enjoy the outdoors. The city funded pop-up parks – small modular decking built as expansions of city sidewalks, in three pedestrian heavy commercial areas. The parksare meant to attract the community to sit, mingle and enjoy local businesses.

The parks feature Bison Innovative Products wood decking tilesCube plantersand Versadjust deck supports. In just 8 hours the park was built, plants, tables and chairs were installed creating a new, inviting outdoor space. The deck supports and modular deck tiles make it easy for the parklets to be dismantled in the winter and stored for future use.

Businesses across the country are benefiting from Pop-Up-Parks and the expanded outdoor seating areas that encourage pedestrian friendly, community-focused neighborhoods.
