Bison Innovative Products are helping create a sense of community in urban spaces by revitalizing and maintaining a lifestyle centered on usable outdoor spaces. Featured in the August edition of the Architectural Record, the apartment complex at 4545 Center Blvd, In Long Island City New York is one such space. Bison’s modular pedestal deck system allowed for the installation of an entertainment area including an outdoor BBQ, putting green, playground and green roof garden, creating an environment in which an active, engaged community can thrive. Apartment complexes aren’t the only public spaces benefiting from architect’s revitalization efforts, the interactive fountains at Millenium Park in Chicago and pop-up-parks like the Spring Street Parklets in Los Angeles are examples of creative, interactive neighborhood environments.

The modular Bison pedestal systems supports pavers in these plazas and integrates distinctive amenities. The adjustable pedestal system also hides and protects extensive LED lighting and drip watering systems.

Thanks to the design flexibility Bison Products provide, these neighborhood parks preserve the character of public spaces and provide an attractive, safe, accessible space that is inclusive of the environment that will last for generations.
