The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is located near the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C. A memorial to President John F. Kennedy, it houses nearly 2,000 performances ranging from dance, ballet, orchestra, chamber, jazz, and multi-media performances. It is one of the busiest performing arts facilities, welcoming nearly 2 million visitors per year. It was designed by architect Edward Durrell Stone of CBT Architects. The Kennedy Center elevated deck uses durable Bison Pedestals that are able to support the substantial granite pavers. The deck hosts fundraisers, weddings, and other events.
